Creating a Menu Item Definition

Perform the following steps to create a menu item definition.

  1. Navigate to the Menu Explorer page by selecting Web Administration>Menus. The Menu Explorer page opens.

  1. To add a new menu item definition, right-click on an item in the menu explorer tree under which you want to add a new menu item and select New. The menu item definition area appears on the page.

  1. Select a website page link from the Page Link drop-down menu.
  2. Enter a title for the menu item in the Title field.
  3. If you want to link the menu item to a URL link or query string for the page, you can enter it in the Link/Querystring field.
  4. Enter a sequence number in the Sequence field. The lower the number you use here, the higher the menu item will appear in the menu item tree. The higher the number you use, the lower it will appear in the menu item tree.
  5. Enter a URL path for an icon image you want associated with the menu item in the Icon Name field.
